Our CEO shares his insights in this post of the 9 foundational blocks and mindsets that is needed for the sustainable business model:

  1. The Efficiency Mindset

Operational Efficiencies drive down costs and embeds a mindset within the workplace culture of streamlining how the organization communicates, operates and connects the dots of opportunity. This mindset aligns the activities of the business with the needs of customers for growth.

  1. The Sound Decision Making Mindset

Problem solving is the essence of what leaders exist to do. As leaders, the goal is to minimize the occurrence of problems – which means we must be courageous enough to tackle them head-on. We must be resilient in our quest to create and sustain momentum for the organization and the people we serve. When an organization has the protocols, the standard operating procedures in place, the ability to anticipate and solve problems and make sound decisions, it reduces the impact of the unexpected.

  1. The Embrace Growth Mindset

To sustain growth, you must have the mindset of embracing risk as your best friend. The moment that we are not encouraged to share our ideas and ideals, it becomes difficult to take ownership of the needs of the business. It demands that we have the best interests of others throughout the organization, at heart. Driving sustainable growth demands a strong team and collaboration which together make up a strong eco-system with the right intellectual capital.

All successful businesses keep detailed records. This helps to understand where the business stands and what potential opportunities and challenges are present. It is an important step to creating the right strategies to overcome challenges that exist.

Competition is healthy and can breed the best results. To be successful, we need to continuously study and learn from all of our competitors, analyse the competition and what they are doing right and learn from it.

  1. The Risk and Reward Mindset

Leaders understand that growth in business requires taking calculated risks. “What’s the downside?” This is the question that helps you establish the worst-case scenario. This knowledge ensures us that by calculating the risks we can generate tremendous rewards.

  1. The Creative Mindset

Creativity and Innovation go hand in hand. Look for ways to improve the business and make it stand out from the competition. New ideas and new approaches will help grow the business and the creativity mindset helps us to recognize that there is always room for improvement.

  1. The Customer Service Mindset

Customers are the reason for the business growth. Paying attention to and serving our customers will sustain business growth. Existing customers are the life of your business. Keeping your customers happy should ALWAYS be the priority.

  1. The Focused Mindset

The old saying, “Rome was not built in a day,” applies here. Celebrating 10 years in business is an achievement but we can’t stop there. We need to stay focused on achieving all of our short-term and long-term goals.
